brake lights 900 1994

i'm new to this . All the brake lights do not work the fuses are OK , the message lights on the dash do not show failure. Could it be as easy as replacing pedel sensor ? Also the last time my directional lights failed I
replaced the flashing moduel and that corrected my problem. Is there a
moduel for the brake light system?
