Upon deceleration I hear a whining noise accompanied by what sounds like a couple of steel balls rolling quickly around in a hampsters wheel. The noise sounds like it is coming from the rear underside of the car. There does not seem to be any shuddering sensation transmitted to the frame or foot pedals.
At first the noise only occured when decelerating at 60 to 65 mph. Today the weather was much warmer and the noise was pretty consistent upon decelaration from any speed above 40 mph. Usually the noise stops immediately upon clutch release but on rare occaisions it continues to give an extra rattle or two after the clutch is depressed.
Would any of the good readers here have a hunch what might be doing all the talking back there? Heck any bad readers can take a whack at it and I won't mind at all.
Thanks,
Joe
