The subject about says it all. I was investivating the clunk and squeaks I posted about a while back. Finally was able to get the car on a lift figguring the clunk was from the rear and the squeak was from over-torquing some bushings. Lo and behold I get under the car and both the driver and passenger side sway bar link were broke in two. I could see where the metal had been rubbing together. That explained the squeak, but not the reason they snapped. The links are original. Car has 142K miles. When I replaced the suspension last August, I replaced with poly wherever I could. Obviously I am going to fix the problem. Ordering the parts Monday. Could the poly be too restricting. Don't want to go back to rubber if I don't have to. Following is a description from FCP Groton website of the links in my car. "Sway Bar Link for models with Aluminum Control Arms. This link is a straight rod with threads on both ends."
Don't know if this relates to the clunk or not. All rear suspension parts tight.
Any and all ideas appreciated.
