Ok some time ago i posted about an overdrive problem, which magically went away (I kid u not...)- well its magically come back...

Last time I resoldered the relay etc...

Symtptom : press OD button, light comes on on dash, u can hear the relay click but no OD...

Interesting point : last time (bout 5/6 months ago) it was a dry spell and a long journey - been wet since as its winter...now we have a dry spell and a long journey and it does it again. Today (car stood overnight) and its still dry..still no od - but having noted the above i applied the power washer to the underside of the car and SOAKED it, took it out OD pops right up!

Diagnosis : corrosion on contacts to solanoid or ground to body - water allowing current to flow thru corrosion?

Question : anyone got any other ideas and just where is the solanoid in reference to the genral area, im gona have to jack it up and should i jack up the back, front or one side to get the best woring environment - plan is to jack up and dump onto drive on type ramps...

PS can you tell how much i DONT like working UNDER cars...lol....

all help & thoughts appreciated as always - my moto a little thought can prevent hours of cold dirty work!
