door panel break repair 700 1986

I'm noticing a common problem among my door panels- the card board is tearing at the top left corner if u look at it from the back side holding it correct side up. That is, the side by the door lock arm hole. I'm assuming this is a fault in design that too much force is placed at that point- it's kind of a corner. How can I repair this, super glue/cement? Can I get new doors somewhere besides a dealer? Do I even want to know what they'd run me at a dealer?
