Ever since I got this car (project 145), the drivers door was hard to open from the inside. That gradually got worse, and my shoulder was getting sore from being thrown into the door to get it open... Came to the point where I'd just roll the window down and open it from teh outside.

Finally pulled the door panel and made a quick adjustment, and its been working great since. That was 3 weeks ago.

Then today, after opening and closing the door normally several times under normal usage, all fo the sudden it wouldn't open from the outside. Checked made sure its not locked....and tried it from teh inside. Nope. Being in a hurry, I just went in the passenger door and crawled over the seats and off I went. tried again a few times throughout the day to no avail.

Now...I'm certain I can easily figure out what's wrong with the thing when I take the door panel off (again...which I hate doing in the first place). But... I can't get the door panel off without getting the stinkin' door open. I reckon these sorts o' things just burn my buscuits.

So, anyone have any tricks to coaxing a door open in an early type 140 series without using a pry bar and/or a sawzall?
