'77 260 tach fluctuation 200 1977

I had the goofy fuel/temp guage problem along with an intermitently functional right turn signal indicator lamp; replaced the voltage regulator and bulb, took care of that... As soon as i get it back together and drive, I've got an indecisive tach: random in how much it fluctuates as well as when it feels like doing it. To top it off, the left turn lamp went on the fritz... Reseated the contacts on the tach and coil which didn't fix it. What gives?
