Oil breather removal and cleaning question 700 1988

I was going to remove my Oil breather to clean it on the weekend because it was plugged. The only problem was that after removing the 2 screws that held it in, there was not enough clearence above to remove it. It would lift up so far and then hit the heater hose and still not come out. From the FAQ and pictures I had seen, I had thought just the 2 screws was all it would take.

My question is, what do I need to do to get this out? I was planning on doing my motor mounts this weekend and I have lots of new gaskets so removing the intake is fine but will that even do it? If I disconnect that heater hose how much antifreeze would I need to drain?

Thanks in advance
Stephen
