960 CD players 900 1994

Hey everyone. Never posted here before. I've had a '94 940 wagon, totalled here in Chicago by a kid running a red light. I've had a '97 850 sedan, totalled by a semi running me off the highway (or trying to at least). After that, I thought my Volvo karma was bad, but seeing that I didn't get a scratch on me in either accident, and after spending 6 months in Honda Accord hell, I went out and picked up a '94 960 sedan yesterday. 98k, looks and runs perfect for $6k. Checked out w/ my mechanic a-ok. But, one thing I can't live without is a CD player, and this 960 ain't got one. After reading some of the archives on the subject, I found on cdchangersonline.com an OEM compatible '91-'95 Volvo 6 disc CD changer w/ adapter for $280. I did also see on eBay some cheaper, but I'm not sure they would come with all the right parts, etc. Do these work well with the stock stereo? The stereo does have a "CD" button, but no "CD CHANGER" button. Is this 6 disc changer my only option? How ugly does it look if I completely take out the Volvo radio and put in, say, a detachable Pioneer or other kind of brand. Is this 6 disc changer easily glove compartment mounted? Is there a single disc option?
Oh, one last thing, I don't have the "code" for the stereo. How can I get this w/o paying a Volvo dealer $100 to give it to me? It's working fine now, but I know that if I try to install an add-on CD player, I'm gonna need that code.
Thanks
Nick
