aw71 overdrive problem has me stumped! 900 1993

I have a 93 940 turbo wagon with 125k miles. About 5000 miles ago my transmission started to shift up at higher & higher rpms. The kickdown adjustment was ok. I changed tranny fluid and filter, and after about 75 miles of driving it started to shift ok again. wthin 2000 miles it started to shift into overdrive at higher & higher speeds. I checked power to the solinoid and it was ok. When I hit the od off button, it it would shift out of od but would not shift back in when I hit the button again. I removed the solinoid & blew it out and re installed it. Now it would not go in to overdrive at all. I hot wired the solinoid and it did not click. I replaced it with a new one (it clicks) but it still will not go into overdrive.
Any ideas for a cure?
