Car won't pass emissions, got a letter from the State saying my car has failed twice and if its not fixed, they won't issue a registration renewal!! (Was just dodgimg the law with an expired sticker)

I guess I will have to drop in a used engine to see if that helps, done EVERYTHING to get it inline, but the inside of the engine is clogged so the engine is running warmer than normal-thus preventing it from passing. Car runs great and idles smooth and strong, just putting out too much Nox. My car runs a lot cleaner than some of the smog machines I see on the road, but ...oh well.
