I'm not sure whose side my insurance is on. If I identify the perpetrator of the hit and run, my deductible is waived. I spent several hours and found out the guys name, phone number, and address. I tendered bills to him, called my insurance, filed police reports, and have photos of his bumper against my bumper. The insurance said that because there were no EYEwitnesses when the collision occurred, they can't hold the guy liable. HELLO! Ever hear of circumstantial evidence? Anyway, I'm keeping a tab on the repair bill and it's quite hefty (though my car won't be totalled). I'd like to add inherent diminished value. Short of an appraiser, are any of your experts or can refer me to a website that calculates inherent diminshed value that I can use in court to justify the inherent diminished value amount.
