fuel economy 'right foot' test - complete 900

And I thought I'd share my findings. Now this is completely unscientific and on one tank of gasoline - but I decided to try staying out of the accelerator on my totally tuned up 94 945T (110k) - keeping the highway speed under 65 mph and easing easing away from stoplights - for 10 days. Boy, was that tough.

Anyway, my efforts only netted me ONE mpg. Got 24 mpg (425 miles to that tank), unlike my usual 22.5-23 mpg (395 miles per tank). I stayed in the right lane, had cars bottling up behind me when leaving stop lights and had I believe a more stressful drive on the freeway - as it's tough to circumvent slower traffic when you limit yourself to 64 mph.

Anyway, this tank I'm going to have a bit of fun (with the right foot). And we'll see what happens. I was hoping my fuel savings would've been 2-3 mpg - in which case I would've revaluated my driving style...

Hope everyone is well. Scary times..... Best regards. Chris
