New to a 940 900 1994

Hi everyeone,

I just picked up a '94 940. It has 169,000 miles and appears to be pretty well taken care of. Runs like a top. Didn't realize how much I miss driving a RWD Volvo. Got it for $2850 at a repo auction (not bad for the SoCal market). Here's the questions I have:

a) The driver's window rolls about 3/4 down, and then slows down. You actually need to help it down to completely roll down. Rolls up fine though. I took apart the door already and broke off the bottom of the left plastic track (doh!) thinking maybe it was jamming the window or something. It wasn't!

b) The A/C does not work AT ALL. Push the switch, no cycling, no RPM change. So I have read that it could be a solder/electrical problem in the control panel. I don't need the A/C anytime soon so I would like to try and see if that is the problem.

Any help on these two issues would be appreciated. Thanks!!
