Polyurethane torque rod bushings - Lubricate? 200

I've been searching the archives but I can find some info I remember seeing back a while.
What I am doing is replacing the torque rods in my '80 DL with the later style rods and polyurethane bushings. I recall some discussion of greasing the outside of the metal sleeve that carries the bolt to eliminate squeaks. Has anyone done this? Is it advisable? What sort of grease is used?
Or am I faulty in my recollection?
