My first timing belt replacement 200

I am going to replace the timing belt on my '81 240 in the next week or so. Are there any tricks that the haynes manual does not cover that I should know to make my life easier? Are all timing belts created equal? If not which ones should I stay away from and which are good and where can I buy one in Canada?
