Brake caliper paint 200

I am replacing the front calipers/rotors on my 83 245. It now has solid rotors and girling calipers. Am getting rebuilt unloaded calipers to fit vented rotors and new vented rotors. I've just ordered ($35) a setup for painting the calipers red. Is this a good idea or just so much fluff? The smoother surface seems easier to clean and the red color will look cool inside the turbo wheels.
Also having the car repainted bright white. Should I have painted the calipers a black color( to match the black leather seats) ?
