I have a '87 760 turbo. As long I add a bottle of a product like "Iso-Heet" or "Pyroil Fuel Drier" with each fill up eveything runs fine. These products contain Isopropyl Alcolhol (67-63-10) and are used to rmove water from fuel. If I don't, the car will die often while driving. After stopping, I can get it started again by pressing the accelerator to the floor and cranking about 10-15 seconds, drive a while then repeat the process. This has been going on for about 4 months. I have tried not using the product and the problem starts again. Don't use it when filling up, the problem goes away.
I have already figured out if I keep using it, "No problem". Anyone got an idea?
