I've heard it rumored that the 240 GL models can accept 5-1/4" speakers on the rear deck. Right now on my DL I have a pair of 6x9s in boxes. I just don't like this look and would rather have something on the rear deck, so my question is would it be possible (without having to modify the sheet metal) to mount something bigger than a 4" speaker on the rear deck. I know I don't have the holes in the cardboard, but those would be a piece of cake to take care of. If so, how big can I go back there?
