Hey there Volvo guys,
I have an 89 240 automatic and I need to reinspect it in about a month. I know my front suspension is shot and will fail. I am sure the boot on the right is torn and leaking, not sure of the left, but know the front sags and will fail. The front struts/shocks are about 6 years old.
Which struts/shocks and coils should I get and how much should I expect to pay from where (FCP, IPD, etc)?
How many labor hours would a mechanic charge me for this job?
Also, are there any other parts that should be replaced while this work is being done? (Repack bearings, etc?)
Also, if the rear suspension requires it, what do I need in the way of coils & shocks, and how much should it cost and from where should I get it?
Also, how many labor hours should I expect for this job?
I don't need the ultimate parts, just good value that will last 3+ years. I do about 100 miles a workday, with three-fourths of the mileage from highway miles - and I know where every pot hole is on those roads.
Thanks in advance.
