I'd like some opinions regarding whether or not to change the automatic transmission fluid on my '90 740 turbo. It has 155+k.
The car shifts just fine, but I've had it for 30k, and I have no idea when and/or if it's ever been changed before.
I've heard plenty of versions of the old tale that with older tranmissions it's better to not change the fluid, and merely to top it off as needed, so as to not mysteriously cause problems (Jarring loose dirt? Increasing internal pressure? Awakening Gremlins?).
Opinions, anyone?
