A water thing! 700

Hi! I know that the cause of this symptom is that I dont have my underside splash plan but Ill ask anyway. Each time I drive my car under the pouring rain it will start to stall until it stops dead. After a while it will run fine again...my question is which component exactly gets wet that causes this? The alternator is way up and I dont see anything more down there that could cause this! Thanks!
