90 745 16v 150k, manual tensioner

Ok, A few of you helped me a few weeks ago to isolate a cold start missing out problem. It is a lifter going flat (sorry, I doubted some of the wise men on BB). I bought a head off of ebay for $420 shipped and it should be here in a week or so. My question: What should I do while I have half of my engine torn apart? I'm replacing the t belt and balance belt, oil pump bolt, all front seals, and of course all the gaskets. I've never pulled an engine apart like this so all advice is welcome.
