Front door speakers are not working 700 1992

Hi all.

I noticed the other day that the front door speakers are not working. I thought that were working before.One day i was screwing around with the battery and disconnected the cables. When i connected the cables back to the battery,I had to reset the radio using the code provided by the PO to get the radio to work again. How can i check to see if the speakers are connected and are not blown? The speakers in the dash and rear doors are working perfectly. How do i remove the speaker screens? Do i just pull them off gently? Thanks.
