Leaky Waterpump? 700 1988

The waterpump on my 745 GLE appears to be leaking from the top gasket (not from the bearing, as in the usual case). It looks like that gasket is having problems. I am thinking the repair for that would be complete waterpump replacement, as opposed to just replacing the gasket? As the pump is probably 4-5 years old, I guess it should be replaced while I'm in the mess, even though it otherwise seems fine?
