Greetings fellow bricksters! Its me again, and I've got a new flurry of questions about mt 1980 Bertone 262 Coupe. So far I've replaced the following:
Spark plugs,
Air Filter,
Oil,
Gas,
In-tank fuel pump,
In-line fuel pump,
Battery,
and Oxygen Sensor.
It doesnt have a catalytic coverter, AMM, EGR system, or AIR system. At one point I had gotten it to run, but a fuel line (hard plastic type) had ruptered and was forced to abort. I was able to shorten the it and repair the line. After I had refitted it to the fuel distributor/control pressure regulator, the engine would not run. At that point I had olny replaced the in-tank fuel pump, o2 sensor, plugs, and air filter. I have since replaced all of the above. A automotive friend of mine later quickly diagnosed the problem of a starvation for fuel. However, fuel is going through the lines (I know this because I've been shot in the eye 5 or 6 times by untightened lines.) I know the igniton system is working because the car ran until the fuel line burst. I know its not the fuel injectors because the car ran until the fuel line burst. Could there be air in the lines from taking off all these lines and fuel pumps? IS it the air sensor plate? Fuel pressure too high/low? Are the fuel lines backed up with grime and/or rotten fuel? Could it be the Air Sensorplate balance sticking? Is this a lemon or what? If anyone can help me get this !@#$ car running, I will forever be in debt to them with the highest of honor and prestige.-
