My 1985 244 dl(B230F) seems to talk to me sometimes. The situation that seems to make this occur most frequently is when I am going up a hill. I will be keeping her steady and then punch the gas (not my normal driving habit, but this definitely makes the noise time and time again). A click click noise is made (not just twice, the repition and frequency with which it happens varies). When I shift (manual), as I let the clutch out it does this sometimes as well. I know it may sound like detonation to some of you, but it doesn't sound like any detonation I have heard. Will the idle air motor click like this? (even though it seems it would be shut when this happens, I was just thinking) Hopefully I have described this well enough for you guys to understand and thank you.
