Electric Cooling Fan - A question I probably already know the answer too... 700

Hi,

My 1990 745T runs great, temp stays perfect (right in the middle of the gauge). Have recently changed the coolant (volvo coolant), and have a new, cooler range thermostat.

My question: The electric cooling fan in front of the radiator never seems to come on. Even today, in 80 degree weather, stop and go traffic and with the AC turned on (AC works great), it doesn't seem to come on.

I thought the cooling fan would automatically come on when the AC was on, at least. Should I be concerned? Even with extended idling, the temp never goes past the middle, even though the electric fan NEVER seems to come on.

Should I be worried? I'll check the FAQ for a test procedure to see if the fan works, but any tips would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Gavin
