Spring sound when braking 200 1993

On my 245 with anti-lock brakes, at especially slow speed, when you apply brakes the pedal gives a little and there is a spring-like sound. I'm afraid if I don't do something soon the brakes might quit functioning. System recently flushed. Was making sound before flush. Now starting to happen more often. Any ideas? Thanks.
