Finally got the cast off my hand and I'm able to get back to work on the '81 Turbo. I have the intake off to replace the harness, sensors, etc. I spent some time today replacing vacuum hoses around the control pressure regulator and have a few questions that Haynes can't answer for me. There are two hoses that come off the side of the CPR and loop through, what looks like, a one way valve of some sort (plastic, white on top, black on the bottom). What is this and what is it for? Do they go bad?
Above the CPR is a blue vacuum valve of some sort, screwed into the side of the block with two hoses attached, one to the intake manifold and one down to a "T" fitting. What is this piece and should I think about replacing it while I have the manifold off? It is shown on the vacuum hose diagram in the engine compartment, but is not labeled.
Thanks,
