I have a 1964 Volvo 122S. I have recently installed an electronic ignition from IPD (Crane FireBall xr700/xr3000). I was told that dieseling was caused by to far advanced so I retarded to about 7 (I think, didn't go look). I saw where IPD sells a new head gasket that lowers the compression 1 full point. Would this help or cure the problem? Any suggestions for the problem? Thanks Karl
