It's been a long time since I last posted here.
I have a '92 240 Wagon with 223,000 miles. About a week ago, the starter began making that familiar "grinding" sound when the ignition is switched on. Unfortunately, I am in the middle of a move so I don't have the luxury of time to replace it myself. I won't be able to get the car into the shop until sometime next week. My question is: How long might the starter last before it fails and is there any additional damage which might be done to the car by continuing to use it in its current state?
Thanks in advance!
