Hi Group,
My dear ladyfriend found a "diamond in the rough" as they say. She purchased a one-owner '88 740GLE that is not quite breathtaking, but awfully close! However, she has found something to complain about (as women do...).
The car is getting about 7-9 MPG. I know that Volvos are not known as being fuel misers, but this is a bit lower than normal. I get about 20 MPG in my '90 240DL, though it's a 5 speed and has a higher rear axle ratio.
Any clues as to what could be causing the fuel comsumption problem in her 740?
All the best,
Tom
