rear wheel well widening 200 1989

Hi

I just have a somewhat silly question but I´m interested if this will work or not. Is there any possibility to enlarge the rear wheel well,Volvo 245, to match its size to the front one?

I just looked my car at its broadside today and just wondered if something like that would be possible!

The original idea came when I looked at pictures of the Chevy Nomad :-) The m.y. 1955 had identical size front and rear whell arches, In my opinion that looked much better than the other solution they introduced in 1956 - comparable to the 245 where the rear wheel arch is quite smaller than the front one too. After playing with photoshop I noticed that it wouldn´t look bad on the 245 to increase size of the rear wheel arch :-)

Thanks for any advice and sorry if the question sounds somehow stupid...you know, if you have nothing to do you come to the most curious ideas :-)
