broken sunroof elevator guide. HELP! 700 1992

Good afternoon.

That is what the mechanic said about my sunroof. How do i get acess to this elevator guide? I tried working on my sunroof yesterday. i did see those springs that are connected to the liner. if i disconnect the springs, will i have access to anything that resembles a broken elevator guide? Also will i be able to reconnect the springs using a hanger? How am i able to remove the whole top roof. I do not want to pay 200.00 to have this fixed yet. just want to try fixing it myself first. The sunroof FAQS did not have alot of info on this. Please help.
