Just put some rear heavy duty Bilsteins on my brick, and I can't believe the difference. They eat bumps like butter, but the car is solid as a rock around corners. I am having trouble not speeding, because the car is so much more stable. I think this is because the shocks keep the rear wheels so firmly planted on the road. I wish I had not put cheaper struts on the front now.
