I have a 1967 122s which I got at an auction and have no history on the car. The engine is *nice* ---A B20 with the B20f head, Weber DGV and stainless exhaust (not to mention the M41 in the trunk to boot!)
<<< NOTICE <<<
That was NOT an "emoticon."
>>> END NOTICE >>>
I have gotten it to run surprisingly well but am having trouble smoothing out the idle. I read somewhere that certain aftermarket cams can lend to a bit of a loping idle--- is this true? Is there a tricky way I can determine if this is the case without having to rip the engine apart? I'm about to sell the car to fund my other projects (including a 220, a 1962 P1800 and the restoration of a vintage Volvo-inspired sailboat), and I want to be able to tell any prospective buyer that "it's supposed to do that." If it IS supposed to do that, that's fine! if not, I'll need to keep tinkering.
Thanks!
Ben
