Fog Lights (rear) please help 200

the fog light switch on my '87 240 DL doesnt seem to work, so i replaced my bulb in the switch and it came on as well as the rear fog lights. When i shut of the lights i decided to try again just to make sure they were working but it didnt work inside or outside. I fooled around and could not get it to work. Any tricks?? Thanks!
