hesitation 700

I have a 1990 740 16 valve. Car runs great except when initially acelerating. When accelerating from a dead stop the car initially hesitates then drives smoothly. The problem only occures when you go from break to accelerator. Hard accelerations (stomping on the peddle) are the worst. If I ease into it I don't always get the hesitation. I can floor it on the highway with out any problem; it only occurs from a dead stop. Is is a fuel injestion problem or bad spark plugs?
