my volvo died...ran out of gas.....put more gas in it and it still wont start.

i think the previous owner bi-passed the fuel filter. i checked everywhere it could possibly be, nothing under the car next to the fuel pump...nothing that looks like a fuel filter under the hood..passenger side. or drivers side.
i can hear the fuel pump prime.

it sounds like it doesnt have a spark..but i dont really remember what it sounded like starting when it ran.

its a 1985 740 gle

the fuel pump it self is hanging in a weird un-mounted way, so im sure he rigged somthing up.

anyway please help me out.

anyone wanna buy this?

silver(faded). power windows.. interior is OK. good tires. passed smog a month ago. crack in the windshield. cd player
