Weird metal type noise when moving??? 200 1987

My 240 makes a weird noise when its moving. It sounds almost like metal clinging and pinging against something. It only happens when I'm moving, and especially when turning to the left. At first i thought it was something dragging on the pavement. I'm kind of lost as to what to check. Any help????
