I know the old controversy betwixt analog sweep style guages (the kind that Autometer sells for the most part) and digital guages (such as those sold at http://www.dakotadigital.com, and for almost all cases I have stuck with the analog sweep style (i.e. for boost and temp, though the A/F that autometer sells is LED based, its still a sweep concept).
Well, I am installing an aftermarket oil pressure guage, and since using a non-oem sender can often make you loose the functionality of our "Oil Presure Warning Light" on the dash, I wanted a guage that would get my attention if things got too out of range (most senders just have one signal post, and not a ground, though the VDO guages can use an OEM sender).
I found this one at:
http://www.dakotadigital.com/Detail.cfm?Category=139&PartNumber=ODY-03-1
Its rectangular, and it fits perfectly into the cubby under the radio in the 700 dash. It also actually starts to flash if you get the pressure too low or to high, which is really the time you need it to get your attention. The actual numbers I supposed don't matter most of the time, you just need an idea of "do I have enough pressure" or "is my pressure too high."
Ok, I am rambling, sorry
My question is, would anyone know what size of metric adapter I would need for the sending unit to go into the B230FT block (mine's a '90).
Thanks!
