AM radio reception 200 1988

Can anyone offer kindly me advice on this? All suggestions would be welcome, colleagues. FM radio reception is fantastic but AM radio reception waivers between weak and fantastic. When it's weak, I lift up the driver's door button and push it down (thus electrically locking all the car's doors) and the radio reception is strong again. Weird?
