240 seats in 122s 120-130

I've been talking with a guy Shayne from IPD on how to fit 240 seats into a 122. It's pretty easy, they are skinny enough, you just need to weld the original "u-Tubes" (the very bottom part of the 122 seat, that mount to the floor brackets) to the bottom of the 240 seats.

My problem now is that I can't get the seat to adjust forward and back because the lever is hitting the "u-tube" so it won't release all the way.

Question is has anyone found a slick way to solve this problem? Other than obviously paying closer attention the first time.

Thanks, You guys are great.
