Brian S, 'Volvo Boy' Dropped Coolant Tank, Low Coolant Sensor Add-On 900

Changing a few hoses prior to adding new fluid. Decided to clean the green gunk in the coolant tank and my son drops the tank and breaks the (brittle) hose connection. Ok, it was ready to go. We have been warned many times. Should have replaced it anyway.

Got a tank with the low fluid sensor, the sending unit, the Radio Shack connectors, and the lamp. I checked the low coolant sensor with a VOM. Low coolant and I mean no coolant, the switch is closed. So far so good. It looks like there is power going to the lamp socket via the ignition switch from the plus side of the battery. I have the Volvo wiring diagram, so I just run a wire from the proper terminal on the terminal board to the sensor. Then from the sensor to ground. That simple? If I install a buzzer, just cut the line and splice it in? What am I missing? Sounds easy.

Thinking about adding a buzzer to the low oil pressure light too. That is the only other critical warning necessary.
