Air box thermo S90-V90 1997

Today I dismantled air box and modified the preheat thermo so that cool air is going thru all the time. Simply removed the thermo and linkage, then installed the fatter spring over the thinner spring, reinstalled link. Door now stays in the cool position.

I am assuming that this is an OK mod on the 6304 engine series same as on out older B230 engines.

Any experience or thoughts?
