780 wheels hit caliper... 200 1988

Lovely day at the IPD show/swap today, scored a third seat and '89 780 Bertone wheels with Dunlop tires. One little problem with the wheels, they interfere with the front brake caliper! Using washers under the rim I determined it is only about 1 mm. Do I grind down the rim, try to find a 2 mm spacer (and buy longer studs), or ???? I'm not grinding the caliper! I'm surprised, I thought all non-ABS 700 wheels fit the 240. Thanks
