Hi again:

I also want to post one more thing in addition to sharing the problem I've been having with the Volvo.

Suppose the problem does indeed point out to the tranny, and that it would require lots of repair or replacement, is it possible to replace it with a manual tranny? If yes, what would I need to do other than putting in a clutch pedal and cable?

I've always driven cars with standard transmission- reason I bought this automatic car was because at 47k (56K now), the sale price was too good to pass up.
