The other day I noticed a whining sound coming from under my car on the driver's side toward the back. I thought the fuel pump was just about to go. I drove it for a couple days without any problems. Then one morning I started it up and it ran poorly at idle and then chocked a lot when I stepped on the gas. Sounds like a fuel filter, right? I pulled it into the garage a few days later to look at jacking up the car. I let it run long enough to warm up and then it was fine. It had rained a lot the night before I first had the problem with it running poorly. I had driven it home in the rain, thru some big puddles and parked it without any problem I thought maybe it had gotten wet somewhere and that was causing the problem. So I left it in the garage over night. The next day I started it up with the same problems until it was warmed up. I replaced the fuel filter anyway because its so much fun. The problem did not go away. Any ideas? Its been my experience on other cars that the pumps tend to fail once they warm up so I don't think that's the problem. I thought maybe it was the cold-start injector. The book I have does not mention a cold start injector on that year car. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks
