specification of rear axle 240 200 1989

Hi

Could someone tell me what type of rear axle is installed on the Volvo 240?

I´ve heard that it is nearly the same like the front axle on the Jeep Wrangler. Is that true and if so, what type is it?

My car is a 1989 245 with M47 manual transmission without slip diff! I need the specification cause I want to ask for a limited slip diff at a 4x4 shop.
